Sure, it might not be THE ONE, and perhaps she would have been better suited to a single life, but she's just talking about getting married, not finding your soulmate. And that doesn't even mean someone who isn't her soulmate would be a bad partner. I know plenty of guys who would make wonderful husbands and with whom I think I could be perfectly happy seeing every day, if my only goal was to be married for the sake of marriage and nothing else.Gingernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6905236167079601771.post-16766094079911954422011-02-21T00:57:49.828+00:002011-02-21T00:57:49.828+00:00If I had married every time someone proposed, I co...If I had married every time someone proposed, I could have wracked up a few divorces too. I wouldn't have to selfishly think about my career, then. I thought these quotes contradict each other: "The good news is that I believe every woman who wants to can find a great partner" v. "Not every woman who wants to get married gets married." Also: "It's better to be single than to be married to the wrong man" vs. "I know everything there is to know about men after my 3 failed marriages/observing my 13 year-old son." Your philosophy is rooted in reality, while the other is rooted in wishful thinking. You also like & respect men more than this lady does. Men like to claim they are ever so simple, and no one likes angry people all that much, but anyone who has a good relationship with any man of any age knows they think about a lot more than sex, TV, and food.

Not to bash the article too much, because I think Tracy's doing a fairly good job explaining relationships & the difficulties of marriage. However, it falls way short, and I don't think it's just because she's not a good Catholic.sciencegirlnoreply@blogger.com
