I did that, and in feb of the next year i met my husband.monicanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6905236167079601771.post-59644405608851360132012-01-03T04:13:19.596+00:002012-01-03T04:13:19.596+00:00SAM, strangely enough I'm in the same boat. I ...SAM, strangely enough I'm in the same boat. I don't have any particular intuition about finding/not finding someone Over There, but after many rocky months I think I've come to terms with the fact that the odds are against it.

Odd how people just automatically pop up and assure you that you'll have lots of exotic boyfriends! Sometimes they're the same people who are worried I won't make any friends!

I think this is the real test and the real value of the Seraphic philosophy: are you going to drive yourself crazy trying to predict and/or mastermind your love life and let it dominate you to the extent that the opportunities God gives you are washed out by your personal Quest for a Man?Jamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18076215213828545013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6905236167079601771.post-6269320180677645402012-01-03T03:18:39.385+00:002012-01-03T03:18:39.385+00:00Funny, I was thinking today how I most probably wo...Funny, I was thinking today how I most probably would NOT have a boyfriend this year, as I will be living abroad for work and just, for some reason, don't see it happening. It sounds counter-intuitive, as it seems that when single women plan to go abroad for any length of time, they daydream about the exotic new men they will meet in that country, and indeed I have been receiving all kinds of comments from my girlfriends like, "Oooh, maybe you'll get a handsome European boyfriend while you're there, hmm?" or, from my bishop, "Don't you go running off with some boy from Country X so we'll never see you again!"

Somehow, I just have an intuitive feeling my husband is not waiting for me there. The surprising part is how okay I am with that.SAMnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6905236167079601771.post-58011517126901423722012-01-02T19:26:03.388+00:002012-01-02T19:26:03.388+00:00Happy New Year Seraphic!
