I really like single-sex social stuff; where else can you discuss hormones and be mildly risque (but more risque than you would with the men around)?

I actively encourage my husband to go out with his buddies and do guy stuff. He's a better man when he gets back, and sometimes he even feels like talking about things I'm interested in because he's already gotten the politics out of his system! Hooray for having some of your social needs met outside your romantic relationships! (I didn't use to believe in this, but now I do. You can't expect your spouse to be everything, because they'll just end up tired.)Sheilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10853868724554947854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6905236167079601771.post-71742014905704309012011-05-31T15:07:38.611+01:002011-05-31T15:07:38.611+01:00Thank you Seraphic for posting this! I definately ...Thank you Seraphic for posting this! I definately agree with you- and might I add that I really LOVE when men go off together and do men things. It fills my heart with joy because they always are more manly during those times and then more manly when they return to a co-ed world - I feel as if it helps them grow in the male virtues which are so often scorned or repressed by our poor little society. Hooray for the genders that God created to express different aspects of His goodness! Hooray! (Consequently I feel as if women are more womenly when they too spend time with just the ladies....I think you've talked about that before, too). So thanks:)RMVBnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6905236167079601771.post-76560211647993005692011-05-31T09:13:17.089+01:002011-05-31T09:13:17.089+01:00Thank you, Jeffrey. It's amazing to see the very littlest ones serving with such concentration and precision.

I'm glad you like my blogs!Seraphichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06251504033428511090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6905236167079601771.post-40726367231276269042011-05-30T19:10:14.051+01:002011-05-30T19:10:14.051+01:00Amazing. I've been told in the past that though it may take a bit for males to get rolling toward good practice in the sanctuary, it ultimately helps them develop a discipline in their lives. I see amazing things with young whipper-snapper altar boys. They become quiet and controlled during mass, then afterwards they go forth and rip around on the church lawn. Later on in their lives they find more creative ways to use their energy. Anyway, I guess this is my first substantial comment. I really enjoy reading your blogs, if not for getting a candid view on the female perspective!
