In Mourning

Professor Margaret O'Gara died yesterday aged 65.

I dreamed last night that I went home for the funeral, and that's all I want to say, other than that she was an inspiration and a model for who a woman theologian can be. And that she was very kind to me. And that she walked in the light of Christ.

How very sad. May she rest in peace, and may you too find consolation.

Not a close friend, poppets, but someone I admired very much, and an important part of the Catholic academic community where I spent three very happy years.

She is a big loss to the Church in Toronto.
