Good News? Open for Comments

Poppets, it's a snowy Thursday in Scotland. We have CRAZY snow. It's beautiful and, speaking as a Canadian, I love it! Bring on the hot chocolate and the mulled wine!

Now, I am terribly busy because I promised somebody I would do some (cough, cough) housework, so why not chat in the commbox? What good news do you have? If you have no good news, what good news do you hope for in future?

Nice! Snowy days are fun. My good news is that I'm applying to a few universities, finally, to get another bachelors degree in voice performance. I have to pull together a couple auditions in less than two months, pray for me!!

My good news is that I have an excuse to wear a fire-engine red silk dress and black pumps tomorrow!

I am a typical californian. I like snow at a distance :)
Grats to HC and Clare!
My good news is I quit smoking.

I love it that you have snow! I live in north Florida now, where we get all the cold without any of the pretty snow.

My good news is that I just got back from visiting my family for Thanksgiving, and will be up north again for Christmas vacation in less than three weeks!

Oh, snow! What fun. :)

If you have no good news, what good news do you hope for in future?

Waiting (and waiting... and... ugh) to hear whether I'm getting a professorship. I'm at the point at which I wish I could hear in the negative, just so I can process the disappointment and move on with things.

Right now I do not have immediate good news. However I do have hope for the future. I finally asked a priest at my parish to give me some counseling and spiritual direction. Now I will wait patiently for his reply.

I am waiting for many good things this holy Advent season.

My good news: I'm going to a formal tomorrow night with a bunch of good friends!! And I get to wear the perfect black silk dress and rose-red heels!

My good news is, winter clothes hide a multitude of figure flaws. Yay for bulky sweaters!

Dark but Fair... I am waiting for a very similar reply so I know your anticipation.

I hope in the future we will both be posting some very good news indeed.

My good news is that God loves me, despite the fact that I forget Him through the day so often...

Ah, waiting is very hard! Especially for me because I am very impatient.

I heart spiritual direction and large Christmas jamborees!

Speaking of figure flaws, I was at a belly-dancing performance, and whereas the fat-free girls were kind of cute, the women with real curves were... Man, let's just say that curvy girls have major advantages over fat-free girls when it comes to belly-dancing, and I was so glad my husband wasn't there, because those curvy girls in the front row were smoking hot.

@ Crescat: I hope so too! And if you will forgive my boldness, the first thing I thought when I saw your photo was how gorgeous you are.

@ Seraphic: I love belly dancing and spiritual direction and big Christmas parties too. It has been years since I have had a spiritual director and I hope this time it will be more successful. It is sometimes hard to find a priest who will really listen and help. Also, the good priests are always so busy and in such high demand. So if this works out it will be such a gift from God!
