Basically, an RSS feed is something that your blog automatically puts out to which people can subscribe if they want to read your posts regularly but don't want to be clicking back to your site every day to see if you've written. Every time you publish a post (yes, including the ones you un-publish), blogger will also publish that post to your feed. People who use RSS readers can plug your blog url into their reader, and new content is automatically aggregated (along with the content of other blogs they've subscribed to).
This is possibly easier to see in action. If you've got a google account, go to google.com/reader, press the big red button labled "subscribe", and put in your own and a couple of other blog addresses. G-Reader will automatically grab about the last ten posts of each blog, and will keep updating there as they update.
That's how I read 100+ blogs -- but only have to check one page to do it.

It's gone through in all of our RSS feeds, though. So since I've read it anyway, I think you should post it :)
Well, I don't mind if regular readers saw it...! ;-D
Explain to me this RSS feed...

I am intrigued! And I wish that I had this blog in my reader instead of checking the site every day!
I'm mystified that people read blogs without an rss reader!
