Open for Chat

Poppets, after working hard all morning, I am going downtown to buy an Easter bonnet. I will leave the combox open so you can chat together if you like. Be good.

If no one wants to chat I'll take the opportunity for a moan! I'm learning all about detachment this week >:( All my plans for the next year have gone up in smoke; now I'm looking at living out of a suitcase for the next 12 months or even more. I know in the long term it's a good thing, but if one more person tells me how "lucky" I am to have the "freedom" to just pull up stakes when necessary I'll burst into tears (again)! Leaving all my friends and my kitchen and my sewing machine to spend vast sums of money living among strangers and moving every couple of months just does not seem like a blessing at the moment. Not to mention that given the suddenness of all this and the crazyness of my schedule it's going to be another month or more before I can get to a Latin mass. Every year something comes up and I have to attend the Easter vigil at the Novus Ordo church down the street, with its "creative twists" and pandering to the kids and the same two "bread" songs at every communion time. Whine whine whine!! I will be laying a heavy heart and a major stress headache at the altar this year. I hope I can start feeling genuinely grateful soon.

I'm still trying to figure out what passage of Casti Connubi Vanessa found to share with her VDP.

Perhaps I should read it.

Is someone going to World Youth Day? It would be lovely to have a Seraphic Meeting in Madrid!

Julie, I'm sorry to hear about your upheaval. I've been there, and I know how stressful it all is. I do hope some new plans emerge soon!!

Larissa, I am going to world youth day too. I love the idea of a Seraphic Meeting. Anyone else?

My thoughts are with you, Julie. Moving around all the time is such a pain.
